Rules, policies & FAQs

Answers without the hunt.

Can I join without a team?

Yes. Register as an individual through Spawtz, join the Team & Player Finder Facebook group, or attend Friday or Saturday Social Volleyball.

When are fixtures released?

Fixtures are released after lunch on Fridays for the following week. Always check your game time before each round.

What are the weekly team fees?

Pairs $45, 3-a-side $60 and 6-a-side $90. There is no team registration fee.

How can we pay?

Pay the team fee at the counter by cash or card, contribute online through a player profile, or arrange invoicing for eligible corporate teams. Staff take one team payment at the counter.

What happens if our team cannot play?

Notify management before Friday lunchtime to be left out of the next draw. A later cancellation attracts 50% of the team fee; a same-day forfeit attracts 100%.

How many players can be on court?

Pairs use two players; 3-a-side uses two or three; 6-a-side has no more than six. Mixed 6s has a maximum of three male players on court.

Do we need uniforms?

No, but matching playing tops earn one bonus point each week.

Do players have to umpire?

No. DIBV provides paid umpires for competition games.

How do I find a fill-in?

Post your team, grade and game times in the Team & Player Finder group, or contact management.

Am I insured for personal injury?

DIBV does not provide personal accident cover. Participation is at the player’s own risk; seek appropriate medical advice where required.
